We are looking for an experienced information technology supervisor. Applicants should possess knowledge of Microsoft, VMware, and Cisco solutions, and be familiar with security and change management best practices. The position will be responsible for leading the team that maintains the agency's business critical Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, on-premise systems, providing help desk support to end users, managing technology vendors, and ensuring the security and compliance of the information systems. A strong technical skill set in computer networking, server management, and Microsoft cloud solutions is needed. Ability to organize the workflow, analyze and prioritize work, and ensure the smooth operation of the business systems are a must. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supervises the Revenue IT applications development and operations team.
Identifies and develops strategies and priorities to ensure efficient and effective utilization of resources to meet agency needs.
Coordinates with third party vendor and service providers.
Researches and compiles data and prepares reports and documents.
Exercises supervision over subordinate personnel.
Examples of Duties:
UNDER ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISION -
Supervises and supports agency-wide client/server network, internet and information systems operations, technology security, and compliance.
Manages projects through all stages of a solution lifecycle, including defining requirements, drafting and presenting technical proposals, deploying and maintaining the solutions that work.
Develops training materials and conducts training on new applications, upgrades, or system modifications.
Consults with users to obtain system objectives, assesses and evaluates existing or proposed systems, and devises computer systems to meet users' needs.
Supervises agency help desk to provide technical assistance, instruction, and consultation to resolve problems.
Plans, develops, evaluates, and implements policies and standards and ensures adherence to security procedures with regard to local, state, and federal guidelines.
Researches, evaluates, and recommends purchase of vendor products in hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment.
Maintains and assigns system and network security authorizations and codes.
Performs expenditure analyses and tracking.
Assists in budget preparation.
Performs related work.
Four years of professional experience in Information Technology, including at least three years of supervisory experience
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must be on 24 hour call.
Must adhere to all applicable regulatory requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work.
