Responsible for execution of the packaging and shipping schedule for non-bulk materials in a manner that adheres to all standards, policies and procedures. Furthermore, the Shipping Technician is also responsible for housekeeping in the area and preventative maintenance activities defined by area procedures.
o Operation of packaging equipment (Drum Filling, IBC filling, palletizing and wrapping, QA testing).
o Receive and properly store raw materials.
o Understand and adhere to all company procedures, policies and standards.
o Understand and adhere to all regulatory requirements for Hazmat and non-hazmat shipments.
o Housekeeping/5S to ensure a safe and efficient production environment. The Shipping Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized work area. This may include cleaning up spills, picking up debris, rolling up hoses, washing equipment, etc.
o Receive and deliver training to maintain a highly capable workforce. Packaging Associates are expected to train and work with new employees to develop a good understanding of the process and creating a safe learning environment.
o Able to work effectively as part of a team and as a representative of the team to others.
o Must be mechanically inclined.
o Goal oriented, self-sufficient, self-reliant, and self-starter
o Personally responsible, capable of situation management through prioritization, and multi-tasking.
o Able to certify on all technology and , equipment functions
o Willing and able to comply with all Safety regulations as mandated by Site and Corporation, as well as Local, State, and Federal guidelines.
o Excellent communication skills.
o A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
o TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card required within 21 days of start date.
o Experience in packaging operations.
Must be able to meet the following physical demands/requirements, with or without reasonable accommodations:

No Information — Willing and able to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule. 36 hours one week, 48 the next, 3 days off in between.
