SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilize production drawings and control documents to wire, assemble, test, repair and modify control panel consoles and core loss testers. Also, will perform wiring and electrical installation of product electrical components (electric motors, encoders, etc.) incorporated within IRD’s product mix. Maintain work area including inventory, tools and equipment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Electrical and mechanical assembly of LEXSECO core loss testers to engineering specifications.
Electrical and mechanical assembly of IRD Balancing control panels to engineering specifications.
Electrical and mechanical assembly of electrical components as required for the IRD product line.
Test and troubleshoot assembled product to assure compliance to engineering parameters.
Participate in LEAN activities to develop and implement continuous improvements to the production process.
Cross train to other production areas.
Maintain assigned work area including inventory, tools and equipment.
Manage Excel database pertaining to new build and/or rental usage.
Document all work performed with test results and job information.
Perform other duties as assigned. EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY USED:
Must provide and use own standard hand tools.
Standard assembly tools such as jigsaw, drill, hydraulic knockout and air ratchet.
PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE:
Two years’ experience wiring control panels for industrial machinery is required.
Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings is required.
Industrial electrical journeyman certification is preferred.
Computer literacy including MS Office programs is preferred.
Good math and communication skills is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Excellent dexterity, good hand/eye coordination, fine motor skills required.
Must be able to lift 80 pounds.
May be required to climb and/or use ladders.
Must be able to use hand tools, electric and air operated tools on a repetitive basis.
Must be able to work in non-air conditioned environment.
Valid drivers license.
Set Hours — 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday
$15-$18 per hour
