JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: This critical role is responsible for providing counsel to internal clients for all aspects of HR and employee relations. This position will lead and develop policies and procedures to maintain compliance with applicable labor & employment laws across the national platform. Lead efforts to resolve difficulties and conflicts between supervisors and employees including performance issues, employee concerns about job conditions, discrimination and harassment complaints with a focus on increasing the effectiveness of employees, leaders and teams.In addition to supporting positive resolution to employee relations issues, this position will be responsible for policy governance, Compliance Line investigations and resolutions and providing counsel regarding state and federal legal compliance. Lead the handling of Compliance Line calls and administrative charges pending with the EEOC, DOL, and state agencies, including audit, investigations, document reviews, drafting and submitting position statements.
Provide counsel and support in the areas of Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, WARN and other state, federal employment laws as well as employment related claims.
Develop training materials and provide ongoing training related to employment laws and policy and procedures for Hospital management and the HR team.
Support Hospital human resources compliance through development and implementation of policies, tools and programs to meet Joint Commission and CMS regulatory requirements. Plan and manage governance process to ensure ongoing compliance.
Monitor employment regulatory and legislative developments/changes/trends, adjusting policies and procedures accordingly.
Manage internal HR policy oversight and governance process.
Manage critical HR compliance programs such as driver's program, worker's comp, background check program, license and certification monitoring, required education compliance, and others. Establish and execute governance programs using HR technology, key metric monitoring and reporting and analysis to ensure compliance.
Support new hospital openings, helping to establish overall HR practices, success routines, and procedures to ensure compliance. Performs other HR related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Possess the analytical and organizational skills to resolve highly complex problems.
Have experience developing and providing governance for HR Policies.
Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Excellent communication skills in order persuade and negotiate with others on important matters.
Experience with Ultipro or other HRIS systems a plus..Ability to travel (approximately 15%).

Bachelor Degree — Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or 5 plus years of experience in Human Resources employee relations in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
