HR Assistant

The HR Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations and analyzing current and necessary policies and procedures in order to monitor Company operations and set standards for future endeavors and compliance within federal, state and local labor-related laws.

Some typical tasks of the position include the following:

Answer all incoming calls directed to the HR department.
Handle all employment application processing.
Perform HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
Provide employees and management team with basic interpretation and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Assist the CFO, Controller and Regional Manager with any HR projects that take place.
Assist senior level management with benefits administration, payroll, new hires, terminations and light accounting duties.
Respond to employment reference checks and employment verification.
Contribute to and create any needed employee processes and staying up to date on changing HR processes and laws.
Travel is not a significant or normally required part of the position. If any travel is required, it will be light in duty and sparingly. Taking Company deposits to the local bank may be an occasional weekly task.

The position is maintained in an office environment.

Flexible - Will work with applicant — Hours worked are dependent upon the HR Assistant and Controller's agreement.

Required Education

Some college — A bachelor's degree or certification in a relevant field, such as Corporate Communications, Human Resources or Business Administration is highly preferred, but not required.
