JOB SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS: The Youth Care Worker (YCW) is responsible for providing a safe, comfortable and teaching environment to the youth we serve as we are committed to their personal success. The YCW assists our youth in the treatment programs, including residential activities. The YCW will monitor and interact with the youth during meals, while they do their chores and homework, and during free time and at bedtime. The YCW will also maintain accurate records and attend trainings and staff meetings as required. Uspiritus is the only organization in Kentucky to use the Boys Town's Psychoeducational Treatment Model. If you are interested breaking new ground and working for the premiere provider in the Commonwealth--Uspiritus is the place for you! No experience required! Youth Care Workers go through an extensive two week training before they would ever hit the floor. We will give you the tools and strategies you need to be successful.
This is a Relocation is not provided and travel is not required for Youth Care Workers.
Minimum 21 years of age.Screening Requirements: Motor Vehicle, Drug Screen, Criminal Background Check, TB Testing, Abuse & Neglect Registry Check. The applicant must have the following abilities: To work as a team member; perform basic writing, communications, and computer skills; function as a group leader and role model in relation to troubled youth; respond appropriately to the emotional and physical needs of adolescents within a structured group setting.
Set Hours — Full-Time position 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, Weekends. Schedules are subject to change when school is not in session: spring, summer, and winter breaks.

High School Diploma — HS diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree and experience in working with adolescents preferred.
