Commonwealth Pain and Spine (CP&S) is one of the fastest growing, progressive, comprehensive pain management groups in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Our team of friendly physicians are all board certified in pain medicine and anesthesiology and take the time to educate our staff. Our facilities are brand new with the latest technology. We have a team/family-oriented culture with great hours, competitive pay, benefits, and open interaction between our staff and management. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs triage (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, weight, and height) at each visit. Sits down with patient and completes designated areas of EMR. Provides patient information to MD prior to patient evaluation. Introduces patient to MD. Enters all pertinent patient information and notes in EMR software. Quickly and accurately type notes into EMR as doctor dictates. Scans all applicable patient paperwork and uploads to EMR. Prepares evaluation rooms and procedure rooms for patient encounters. Cleans rooms post patient encounters. Performs patient drug screening. Prepares patients for pain procedures. Assists MD with pain procedures. Cares for patients in Recovery. Assists patient during check out and to their vehicle. All other duties as assigned.


Strong proficiency in Medical Terminology. Ability to help lift patients from procedure table to wheelchair and from wheelchair to car.
1+ years in pain management Medical Assisting, preferred. Efficient typing skills (45-60 WPM & accurate). Strong EMR experience. Highly proficient with computers and software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, KASPER, INSPECT, and EMR software. Physical Requirements: the physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job. Reasonable accommodations will be made in accordance to ADA rules and regulations.Requires walking and standing approximately 70% of the work day. Ability to sit at a desk for approximately 30% of the work day. Must be able to exert up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move object. Must have finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination to work on computer, telephone, and related office equipment. Must be able to drive safely and cautiously to work from multiple sites 1-2 days per week. Must be able to have repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement to type and work on a computer. Must have clarity of vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to speak and hear clearly. Must be able to communicate with patients verbally and write legibly. Regular attendance is a necessary and essential job duty.



Work Schedule

Set Hours — Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week
