Bid Construction Coordinator

The role is generally focused on seeking new construction bid opportunities, qualifying potential bidders, working with LSS’ compliance department to complete vendor qualification packets, and coordinating with estimating to ensure quotes/bids go to prospective bidders in a timely manner.Essential skills will include your ability to build relationships, both internally with the Estimating Team, sales teams and operations teams and dealing with the client’s representatives and the subcontractors LSS will be bidding the work to for projects. You will be required to work as part of the Pre-Construction and Bid Development Team and provide support to Business Development, Bid and Pre-Construction Managers throughout the bid process life-cycle. Attention to detail is a must as a large percentage of the job role includes analysis of bid documents, specifications, and drawings. Candidates must be excellent in all Microsoft based applications, and be comfortable with technology overall. Candidate must also be able to deal with tight deadlines, and multi-tasking, as many projects are required to be submitted by precise deadlines with little notice. Key Responsibilities: Assist New Construction Account Manager(s) in review/search online plan rooms for bidding opportunities •Assist New Construction Account Manager(s) in qualifying potential bidders/clients to submit bids/quotes for upcoming projects/bids •Work with Compliance Manager and New Construction Manager(s) in the development and delivery of all bids and projects, ensuring pre-qualification questionnaires and all bid documentation are completed; Work with Compliance Manager and New Construction Manager(s) to develop a “Bid Board” to monitor all upcoming bids and to ensure that the estimating department is aware of the bids, the due dates, and any associated submittals
•Work with the Compliance Manager and New Construction Manager(s) to draft and review bid submission content, ensuring all bids are submitted on time and fully compliant with the requirements. The position will report to the Compliance Manager.


Attention to detail. Good organizational skills. Experience in cold calling and/or telemarketing helpful. Ability to conduct prospecting and research. Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. Some background in construction helpful.
