Description

EightTwenty is searching for an observant and dependable person to perform residential and commercial distributed generation (DG) Energy installations. The Solar Technician I’s duties include performing wall and roof work associated with the installation of PV Solar, Storage, and Generator solutions. This person should be comfortable performing these and related undertakings with supervision.

To be successful as a Solar Technician I, the candidate should be a critical thinker with some construction experience. A remarkable PV Solar Technician will demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and the capacity to take direction and follow instructions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate with Install teams to Install Photovoltaic (PV) Systems in accordance with codes and standards using drawings and schematics. Including but not limited to:
- Assembling and installing solar modules, panels, or support structures
- Installation and wiring of solar inverters and power optimizers
- Applying weather sealing to array, building, or support mechanisms
- Installation of interconnect wiring including safety shutoffs
- Participate with Install teams to install Storage and Battery Backup solutions
- Participate with Install teams to install whole and partial home backup generators
- Focus on aesthetic of finished product with implementation
- Conduct all repairs and installations according to code and best practices
- Adhere to all relevant safety regulations.

Requirements

Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Excellent customer service skills.
