Production Facility Maintenance Technician

This position is responsible for assisting in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of processing and packaging equipment. This includes basic troubleshooting, problem identification, maintaining, testing, installing, and conducting all mechanical repairs on all of the processing and packaging equipment.2+ years of experience: (can be combination of applicable education & related work experience).
Provides basic emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.

Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.

Troubleshoots basic issues by observing mechanical devices in operation and listening to their sounds.

Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections

Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.

Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies by checking stock to determine inventory level and initiates purchase orders.

Informs production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.

Increases technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.

Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.

Keeps accurate maintenance records and journals.

Other duties as assigned.

Ability to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours as required.
Computer literacy, PM Maintenance systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
Ability to pass job-related, computer-based testing.
