Description

Galen College of Nursing’s accounting department, located in Louisville, Kentucky, is offering a paid student internship on a part-time basis. The internship program will provide the student with relevant skills in a variety of accounting functions via on-the-job training.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Data entry of journal entries.
2. Provide assistance with Accounts Payable invoice data entry.
3. Process and mail Accounts Payable vendor payments.
4. Create and maintain Accounts Payable vendor files, deposit files and journal entry files.
5. Assist with periodic student mailings.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Interested applicants must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with a current GPA of 2.0 or above. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship. Must have an ability to work effectively with a diverse student, faculty, and staff population. A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality is required. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) preferred.
