Tech Louisville is a non-profit program that trains residents of low-income neighborhoods for the purpose of getting professional IT jobs in IT support, networking, system administration, and more. Students work through an online curriculum while attending a weekly meetup with other students and the mentor (instructor)
We are seeking an instructor and mentor for the program's students that will work with them as they work through an online curriculum. Class is held in the evenings from 6-7:30pm. Additionally, there is an online discussion platform (Slack) where students can ask questions throughout the week.
This position will review the curriculum, create demonstrations and discussions for class time, answer questions, and respond to students in class and online when questions are raised.
We're looking for someone that is looking to make an impact in people's lives through technology education.
This is a part-time position, in the evenings. Approximately 5 hours per week.
Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of professional IT skills, including networking, systems administration, IT security, and desktop support.
Experience in a professional IT environment supporting multiple servers, systems, etc.
Preference for major IT certifications, including A+, Net+, Google IT Support Professional, etc.
Other — See position type. Class hours are set for 6-7:30pm. Other hours (prep and communication) are flexible.

No education requirement — Certifications, degrees, and other demonstrated experience will all be considered.
