We are looking for people interested in providing service and support to the individuals living in our residential communities by coaching and assisting them with :

•Daily living

•Personal hygiene

•Voicing concerns & issues

•Taking medications

•Transportation to & supervision at doctor appointments

•Development of individual goals

•Community participation

•Creating friendships

•Social & judgement questions

•Conflict resolution

•Health & safety issues.

Cedar Lake operates in Jefferson, Oldham and Henry counties, has 38 properties, and supports 260 people with a staff of 460. An array of residential options and support services are offered from 24/7 support for the most medically fragile, to intermittent support for those who live independently.

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for the care, training, safety and supervision of individuals living in our residences. This job reports to the Assistant Director of Residential Options (ADRO). Relocation is not provided and travel is not required.


Candidate must be at least 21 years of age. Valid KY/IN Driver’s License, or ability to obtain upon hire + 3 years driving experience. Screening requirements for this position include: Motor Vehicle, Drug Screen, Criminal Background Check, CAN, KBN, Sex Offender registry check.



Work Schedule

Set Hours — 3 days a week 7pm to 7am and every other weekend.


Starting pay $14.00 hour
