Thermex-Thermatron Systems


Thermex-Thermatron Systems is a Microwave and RF industrial heating system manufacturer located in the Bluegrass Industrial Park.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Maintaining engineering documentation including drawings and bills of material; releasing jobs to Production; and other engineering support. Assisting in the testing, installation, start up, service and troubleshooting of components and equipment related to the products designed and manufactured by the Company. Providing technical assistance to Customers including part sales. Assisting with Shipping and Receiving and Inventory, as needed.

BASIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be organized and should possess a positive attitude. The job will involve frequent interaction with customers and suppliers. Teamwork and good communication are required. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

1. Selecting and maintaining documentation, drawings, manuals, specifications, and parts lists for Thermex-Thermatron equipment. Material lists and requisition forms will be done using Microsoft Access, unless otherwise requested.
2. Installing, testing, and troubleshooting RF and MW equipment and components/parts in the shop, via the telephone with customers, or at customer locations.
3. When needed, assisting Production with the installation of electrical components such as transformers, contactors, relays, sensors, PLC’s, control components, high voltage and power components, etc. based on the material list and blue prints. Wiring electrical subassemblies and equipment consisting of control panels, RF and MW generators, MW applicators, high voltage power supplies, presses, conveyors, hydraulic power systems, etc. Performing various mechanical assembly processes, as needed.


Blue print reading and interpretation is mandatory. Knowledge of AutoCAD required. Knowledge of Solidworks a plus. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Three to five years RF and Microwave experience; electrical wiring of industrial machinery and equipment skills .All applicants must have knowledge of radio frequency welders and a working knowledge of AutoCAD. Occasional lifting of parts or components will be required. Should perform regular duties with a minimum of supervision.



Work Schedule

Set Hours — Monday - Friday - 8:00am - 4:30pm.


$55,000 + depending on experience.

Required Education

High School Diploma — MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School Diploma. Technical School or Associate Degree in Engineering a plus.
