We are seeking a highly motivated candidate who is equipped with a working knowledge of dimensional measuring equipment for the position of Outside Technical Sales Representative. Job responsibilities: Generating new customers and helping them select appropriate products. Servicing new and existing accounts. Scheduling product demonstrations and training for customers. Managing accounts by following up on sales opportunities and outstanding quotes. Providing a high level of customer service to ensure client satisfaction. Responding to communication from customers, management, vendors, and peers punctually. Maintaining industry knowledge and trends by attending industry trade shows, participating in webinar training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional society meeting (ASQ). Maintain communication on status of projects with all those involved, both internal and external.
Skills required: Understanding of the technical sales process. Extensive training on Micro-Vu, Zeiss, Mitutoyo, Pro-Link, and other lines of industrial inspection equipment.
Basic computer functionality, including Microsoft Office and email. CAD software skills are a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Self-motivated and determined to meet/exceed performance goals. Preferred Qualifications: Two years of sales experience or equivalent experience in the quality/manufacturing industry. Flexibility in work hours and willingness travel.
