Low Voltage Technician




KForce has a client seeking a low voltage technician in the Louisville area. Candidates should have some experience with commercial and residential structured cabling, A/V systems, security / surveillance and access control. This position will work with the sales team to facilitate surveys and communicate needs to the customer. Travel may be required within a 100 mile radius with travel done either in company vehicles or compensated mileage. This is a customer facing role so presentation and communication skills are important. Work may be done individually and as part of a team. As business grows, it is expected that this position will lead into an expanded leadership role.


The ideal candidate would have the following experience:
Some experience as a low voltage technician.
Excellent customer service, communication and presentation skills.
Physical dexterity to handle power tools ladders and lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work quickly and accurately within time constraints and deadlines.
Interpersonal and organizational skills.
A motivated self starter and detail oriented.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Highly developed troubleshooting skills.
Current working knowledge of network technologies.
Knowledge of low voltage cabling.
Previous knowledge of A/V industry.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work individually and as part of a team.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions and diagrams.
Must be able to make proper decisions to complete a project.

Other — Work will be done within a 100 mile radius of Louisville. Company vehicles are available and mileage will be paid for any personal use of your own vehicle.
