Food Equipment Service Technician

Description

This is an entry-level service technician position with additional responsibility of performing equipment installation. The selected candidate will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair food equipment. Also, the individual will be performing equipment installations and maintenance as required. This includes receiving equipment at job site, assembling equipment and inspecting for proper operation, and moving equipment into position. The individual must be able to make electrical/gas/plumbing connections as required. Assist with and perform installation of custom built duct work, sheet metal work, grinding and polishing of metal. You will work with customers to electrically/mechanically troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial food equipment. You will typically leave from home each morning and work with minimal direct supervision at customer sites. Required to manage expense reports and travel budgets. You will meet or surpass weekly productivity and customer-oriented goals while maintaining a high level of customer service. Requirements

Must have 0-2 years of similar electrical/mechanical experience. Must have a valid Driver’s License and ability to drive 5-6 hours daily. Must be able to attend our industry leading training at our corporate headquarters in Troy, OH. Basic plumbing and soldering knowledge. Basic knowledge of CO2 and Freon. Have experience in Welding, Hydraulics and/or Electrical Skills. Lifting 50-75 lbs. with or without assistance. Climbing up to 8 ft. with ladder. Occasional roof access may be necessary. Extensive walking up to 3-5 miles/day. Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling. Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet, dirty conditions.

Other — Must be able to work overtime and on-call as required. Occasionally work installations overnight as needed.
