Seeking employee to operate mig welding equipment and perform repair welds as needed to support high-volume production cell.
Summary: Works under minimum supervision welding metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to blueprints layouts, or work orders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Operating safety working equipment and applying safety practice at work while performing his/her duties. Welding parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead, etc. Managing and identifying any fault in operating the equipment or in relation to any material or equipment, then notifying the Group Leaders. Grind parts as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements and create a welded final product. Operating other accessory equipment and performing some tasks necessary for welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, mostly MIG welding.
Control the processes of fitting, burning and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheat, distortion, expansion or shrink of spare parts. Examining finish products and in-process parts and comparing them with samples to check whether the specifications are met.
Being in charge of preparing and setting up necessary tools and equipment for welding job such as wire, shielded metal arc, gas metal arc or other welding equipment. Arranging and assuring the welded parts are arranged in order before being assembled into final products; operating such tools as square, caliper or ruler for this task. Following standard operating procedures including quality function and performs at a rate that is required of that operation. 1-3 months related mig weld equipment and programming experience. Production experience including reading blueprints and diagrams. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Set Hours — Hours: 1st shift is 6:30AM - 3:00PM with opportunity for off-shifts in future. $1/hr shift premium for 2nd and $0.75/hr for 3rd shift. Ability to work open shift and overtime as needed.
$15-$18.00/hr plus shift premium
