Software Developer




The primary purpose of the Developer is to design, code, and debug Vita-Stat's applications. Duties: Write, modify and debug software for client applications. Interpret written user stories, business requirements and technical specification documents. Perform coding to written technical specifications and high level designs. Follow development processes. Investigate, analyze and document reported defects. Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects. Create, document, and implement user stories and unit test plans. Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates or software.


Developer Qualifications: C# 7.0+; ASP.NET & MVC; Windows Services; Web Services - REST and SOAP; Windows WPF and WinForms; JavaScript; CSS3/LESS; HTML5; Git Version Control; Unit Testing and Mocking experience; Agile/Kanban experience.
Candidates are not required, but Design/UX Background, Mobile Development, iOS and Android experience is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and follow-up skills. Ability to instill confidence in others and generate enthusiasm. Knowledge: Demonstrate an understanding of full lifecycle application development. Knowledge of source debuggers and visual development environments. Demonstrate an appreciation of the bigger business picture not just IT requirements. Qualifications/Experience: Experience designing, developing and implementing client applications. Experience in SCRUM preferred but not required. Healthcare of long term care experience preferred but not required. Personal Attributes: Able to maintain confidentiality. Personable. Intuitive.
