The Software Development Project Manager will lead, manage, and delivering various software development projects as defined by leadership to align with both short-term and long- term goals. Most immediately this position will drive forward progress of our Site Surveyor Application development: technician use for all services, customer-facing portal, and an external-use licensed application. The person in this position will ensure each project produces the required deliverables within our standards for quality, on time and within budget. Manage the day-to-day project activities, resources and relationship with our software development vendor. Works both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Proactive and continual engagement and feedback with Sr. Director of Operations regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues. Demonstrate understanding and support of the interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs. Confidently communicates, and reinforces appropriate sense of urgency to aid in prompt and complete resolution when issues arise. Define the Statement of Work and Specifications Documents and ensure project does not encounter scope creep. Support prioritization of change & enhancement requests to directly align with business goals and priorities. Oversee Business Analyst and all Quality Assurance Testing. Conducts research on project-related issues and future product concepts, translates findings into proposed solutions with cost benefit analysis of each option for consideration. Responsible for said project’s deployment. Support change management techniques and phased roll-out of new systems to aid in optimal adoption, adherence and engagement. Work with training and development manager to build thorough and relevant training materials for successful implementation across all functional roles. Set and continually manage project expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders. Utilize relationship with internal software owner (Sr. Director of Operations), internal subject matter experts, and system stakeholders to validate outcomes will meet appropriate cross-functional needs and goals. Demonstrate extensive understanding of successful project management principles, documentation best practices, testing methodologies, and deployment techniques. Proven success in providing on-site leadership by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones. Conduct oneself in an independently dynamic, decisive way with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands. Research best practices within and outside the organization to build plans/proposals for optimal solutions to software development and integration needs of the organization. Position reports to Sr Director of Operations and Process Improvement. Other duties as assigned.
