2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician

The 2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and preventive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of business goals. He/she will assist in the daily operation of the maintenance function; act as a lead on designated projects/activities and interface with operators and external contacts in the accomplishment of organizational goals and objectives. Additional responsibilities will include building maintenance, and working with others in the plant to maintain a safe, clean and productive work environment.

Position Responsibilities:
Perform routine repairs and maintain all equipment to enhance efficiency and prevent malfunctions that could lead to production downtime and costly repairs. Troubleshoot malfunctions and locate source of problems by examining equipment and mechanical devices. Assist in line changes and process improvements. Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop equipment. Clean equipment, lubricate moving parts, change fluids, modify equipment and replace parts and components as required. Maintain records of all maintenance activities. Conduct preventive maintenance measures on structures, equipment, electrical, plumbing as well as facilities
Control downtime by informing production employees of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitor compliance
Support and contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results and training production employees on efficient operation and basic routine maintenance procedures. Maintain positive work environment by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with co-workers, customers, clients and management. Maintain safe and clean work environment

Maintenance Journeyman’s Card or equivalent certification. 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience. 4+ years of experience working as Maintenance Technician in Industrial Maintenance manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance techniques. Essential Skills and Experience: Excellent mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of maintenance procedures and interpretation of written and oral directions, including blueprints, construction plans, drawings, assembly instructions. Working knowledge of equipment such as conveyors, packaging equipment and related manufacturing machinery. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Ability to work with PLC computer based control systems. Proficient with MIG and TIG Welding. Must possess excellent communication skills, problem solving and troubleshooting skills, and a work history that demonstrates a good work ethic, excellent attendance and the ability to contribute to the production of a quality product safely. High degree of initiative, creativity, self-direction, and respect for the safety rules and procedures. Good interpersonal skills and able to work well in a team environment. Must have good oral and written communication skills to effectively direct and provide instruction to others. Must be capable of making timely decisions utilizing logic and sound judgment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to possess and maintain a valid forklift license issued by the company. Valued but not Required Skills and Experience:
Working knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting; working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques; previous experience in the distilled spirits industry.



Work Schedule

Set Hours — This is a 2nd shift opportunity, the work hours will be 4pm to 12:30am Monday thru Friday and OT as needed on Saturdays. Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as required.


$23.71/hr w/no Journeyman card, $26.71 w/card

Required Education

Associate Degree — Associate's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Maintenance. Valued but not required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
