Description

This supervisory position will perform duties as an instructor as well as be responsible for maintaining all the training requirements, training standards, training materials, class scheduling, policy manual updates and training records for an FAR 145 repair station. This training includes development of aircraft type training together with customer specific training to meet regulatory requirements. The leadership of this position is crucial in the development and growth of the talent pool within our organization and is a key element in our continuous improvement philosophy. This position will also be responsible for growing revenue generation through selling of training course and services to airline customers.

Requirements

Must have excellent working knowledge of FAR's
•Knowledge of ATA Spec 100 & 104
•FAA A & P License
•4 years of experience in a 121 or 145 operation or equivalent foreign operator as a technician, inspector, or training instructor
Excellent computer skills, specifically in the use of MS Office products, email and web based applications
•Verbal, written presentation, problem solving & interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of employees, management & customers
•Effectively speak, read and write in the English language
•Willing to work various shifts and weekends if necessary to complete training
•Ability to operate and train forklifts, scissor-lifts, Genie-boom or other equipment as necessary
•Valid State issued driver's license
•Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
•Able to stand and speak for long periods of time
•Ability to climb stairs
•Ability to climb into and work around aircraft in both climate controlled hangar and extreme weather environments

Required Education

Bachelor Degree — Masters Degree preferred plus:
•2 years Supervisory Experience preferred
•Previous experience working & instructing on B737, B757, B767, B777, A320, EMB 140/145 and EMB 170/175 systems.
