Description

Lead Installation tech:
o Installing residential/commercial indoor and outdoor equipment. connecting refrigeration lines using oxy-acetylene torch while purging lines with nitrogen gas. using R-11 flush on a refrigerant line system being re-used do to burred lines in brick walls. tying in all electrical circuits to include high and low voltage. Run and flash in flu piping on gas systems, and connecting gas lines/checking for proper gas pressures. Installing/setup of new thermostat, zoning, humidification/dehumidification controls. Conduct proper start up procedures per manufacturer specifications, and fill out company start up sheets with full customer understand of the work conducted.

Helper/apprentice
o able to know and understand all tools used for the trade, and keep organized on company trucks. Assist lead installers on all task, and have the capabilities to adapt to the project/task at hand. Be proactive/productive by seeing the lead technicians next step, and gathering the tools/material needed to keep the job running smooth. Have a goal to learn and achieve all the knowledge of a lead installation technician.

Requirements

Lead Installation technician:

o EPA certification card (universal preferred)
o Minimum of 5 years experience as a lead technician
o Able to charge a refrigeration system per manufactures specification
o Able to start up a gas furnace (70% to 98%) per manufactures specifications
o Capable of trouble shooting issues with low/high voltage, and understanding the sequence of operation for furnaces, heat pumps, rooftop units, gas heaters, Geo thermal
o Must possess Hand tools needed for technical work i.e. refrigerant gauges, electrical testing meters, sheet metal hand tools, battery power hand tools ect.
o Kentucky Journeyman license (Valid)
o Must posses a valid drivers license
o Must have great attitude, and uphold a good personal appearance/hygiene

Helper/apprentice
o EPA certification card (universal preferred)
o Some schooling in HVAC highly preferred
o Must be self motivating, able to learn a wide verity of products/procedures
o Must have reliable transportation to each job site
o Must have great attitude, and uphold a good personal appearance/hygiene
o Have basic hand tools i.e. snips, hammer, screw drivers, wire strippers, nut drivers ect


Type

Full-time and/or Part-time

Work Schedule

Set Hours — start at 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. work some weekends, and will require to work some overtime during the week depending on job demands.

Salary

Tech 18-24/hr Helper 10-15/hr per qualification

Required Education

High School Diploma — Lead installation technician must posses some kind of HVAC Training.
Co-op/apprentice need to have a high school diploma and some type of HVAC training is highly recommended

Other — Located in Georgetown Indiana, Working in southern Indiana/Louisville Ky
