Business Development Specialist




In this role, you will be responsible for identifying business development opportunities and driving product sales through warm and cold-calling. Your primary responsibility is contacting potential clients, discovering the need for HR products, and handing leads off to the sales team.

Key Priorities:
• Build the pipeline: Identify new leads for HR-related products through cold-calling, social media, and regular monitoring of client activity
• Research and understand target audiences and products
• Execute processes: Implement contact and lead nurturing strategies that result in meetings and/or product sales

• Proactively identify new lead sources via social media and internal resources
• Actively use social media to hunt for opportunities
• Prospecting, qualifying, and capturing leads, primarily by phone
• Speaking to top decision makers across a broad spectrum of industries
• Manually review client lists and actions to identify opportunities for outreach
• Meeting growth goals for outbound sales of Career products and services
• Explaining a diverse array of products and services to interested targets
• Ownership of assigned campaigns - making initial contact, follow-up correspondence, and quantifying client for hand off process


Qualified Candidates Are:
• Very comfortable and adept at cold calling
• Possess exceptional active listening skills
• Ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization
• Able to work autonomously but know when to engage others
• Results driven; does what it takes to get the job done and naturally goes the extra mile
• Knowledge of outbound selling best practices and proven track record of success
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• B2B sales experience, preferably in a call center environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding telephone etiquette
• Experience in demand generation, lead qualification, or outbound selling
• Experience with web-based programs and social media
• B.S. in business or related field desired but not required
