POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The Escrow Specialist III position is accountable for providing the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers with operational integrity. Primary responsibilities include procurement and payment of assigned lender paid escrowed items, including Homeowners Insurance, Property Taxes, PMI, LPMI, FHA, Mortgage Life-disability-accidental death Insurance prior to their due date avoiding any and all penalties and interest. Evaluates loans and performs escrow analysis both when requested and annually to ensure all escrowed loans remain compliant. This position will work under the direct supervision of the Escrow Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Assist the Escrow Supervisor with leading departmental processes as it relates to the escrow lifecycle, including reconciliation of open billing items for tax and insurance, mortgage insurance and escrow analysis.
•Review/assist with the review of all new loans to ensure items related to flood are compliant to include the flood certification, trailers, and there is proper coverage by type, amount and structure.
•Assist Escrow Supervisor with performing quality control on processes and work of subordinates to ensure compliance with RESPA, CFPB, state and federal law and investor guidelines that relate to escrow tax, flood and forced placed insurance requirements and PMI regulations.
•Contact clients, insurance companies and/or bank personnel concerning non receipt of hazard insurance premium renewal.
•Respond timely to miscellaneous insurance, insurance claims and tax inquiries from clients, bank personnel, agencies and municipalities.
•Maintains a high degree of cooperation and rapport with all employees in order to ensure accurate and efficient operations and service.
•Adherence to established policies and procedures; Create and amend assigned procedures immediately upon notification of change, addition or declination request.
•Obtain and review insurance and real estate tax reporting and conduct maintenance or due diligence as required.
•Review general ledger entries and ensure cross functional processes are completed on time and accurate.
•Participate in internal and external quality control and audit assessments, providing prompt and accurate responses to inquiries made, as well as take immediate action to correct or resolve issues as they are known.
•Primary contact for assigned insurance agencies and providers and real estate tax municipalities.
•Monitors daily operations of assigned vendors to ensure established service levels and contract terms are met.
•Drive systems testing to validate data, identify gaps or illogical errors.
•Monitors safeguards to ensure the integrity of our client’s personal and financial data.
•Willingly performs other duties and projects as assigned.
•College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a business related field required.
•Minimum of 2 years previous experience with Escrow Loan Servicing; in-depth knowledge of tax, escrow analysis and mortgage insurance required.
•Previous team leader or supervisory experience preferred.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) PDF and internet applications.

•Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
•Demonstrates more complex math and/or accounting principles as it relates to Loan Servicing.
•Demonstrates the ability to perform analysis, trend and effectively report data.
•Requires ability to work independently and as a team, under pressure and meet deadlines.
•Ability to problem solve and evaluates a process for both potential risk and efficiency improvement.

•Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be required.
•Requires a flexible work schedule that will include some evening and weekend work.
•Stay abreast of new developments, best practices and regulatory changes, including participation in all training provided.
