The Entry Level Analyst position on the VSC Federal Business Development (FedBD) Team supports the greater FedBD Proposal/Bid Team team as they work on the company's procurement plans, by performing research, proposal coordination and administrative duties. The Entry Level Analyst supports proposal managers, capture managers, the CEO and COO to research and analyze potential opportunities that the company is interested in competing for. Their research and assistance will allow the team to properly understand, track and identify competitive federal government opportunities - leading to contracts and revenue for the company.
Assist with analysis and shredding of RFPs/RFQs
Phase 2 Forms, Incumbent Competitive Intelligence, Capability Matrix, Question and Answers analysis
Support Proposal Life cycle phases by creating Capability and Compliance Matrices, Proposal Storyboards, and Pricing/Staffing spreadsheets.
Research and analyze opportunities included in Government Procurement Sites (FBO, ebuy, seaport-e, fedconnect, govwin, etc.)
Research procurement contracts and procurement forecast documents.
Create draft presentations using Google Slides / Powerpoint/Illustrator/Photoshop/Graphics Skills
Track and Monitor Procurement updates and changes
Providing daily assistance to BD team in support of bid and proposal efforts.
Managing and completing BD/capture activity projects including contract, opportunity, and company research and analysis with including past performances, resumes, contact info, etc.
Project/Assignment Progress and Management
Assist in other BD projects as necessary.
We desire candidates that can think and respond quickly, and can perform duties in a fast-paced, fluid, virtual environment with minimal supervision.
Intermediate to Expert level Microsoft and/or Google Docs Skills - Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Experience with Google Drive and multiple Google Apps.
Experience formatting complex documents in MS Word and spreadsheets (styles in Word).
Strong online research and analysis skills.
Must be able to complete tasks very quickly, great attention to detail, able to work in a virtual environment.
Ability to assist with deadline-driven proposal administrative duties.
Strong teamwork and people skills.
Effective communication skills required (chat, email, phone, online, etc.).
Require flexibility with the ability to support changing priorities based on corporate goals.
Need to be available M-F between 9a-8pm ET (11 hours per week). We will work around your schedule but availability needs to be consistent.
Knowledge of Government Procurement Sites (FBO, ebuy, seaport-e, fedconnect, govwin, etc.) desired.
Familiarity with Business Development Proposal life cycle in Federal contracting, including analyzing and shredding RFPs/RFQs; 3-6 months experience performing similar duties.
Experience in IT industry.
