Highland Coffee Company Bakery Positions:
Baker and/ or Assistant Baker
This is a small commissary setting that is separate (2 doors down) from retail shop.

All Positions Require:
Excellent work ethic, organizational, time management, & communication skills.
Able to multi task, work quickly, efficiently, & independently while still maintaining highest quality once trained.
MUST be neat, clean, & organized.
Positive attitude, helping maintain productive & positive, upbeat work environment.
Able to take direction & constructive criticism in positive way and maintain positive communication with owners, supervisors, & other staff.
Schedule flexibility, especially during busy dessert seasons~~ Valentines Day, Christmas, & for large/ special orders, sometimes on short notice.
Will adhere to all Health Dept protocol at all times and maintain highest level of cleanliness & sanitation of bakery. Pride in presentation of all desserts. Attention to detail.

Pastry Chef/ Baker position requires:
Background in commercial kitchen with baking experience.
Experience with vegan and/ or gluten free baking a plus.
Will be creative & enthusiastic about baking, working with owners testing new recipes, bringing fresh ideas to HCC dessert offerings as well as helping maintain pars of all established desserts.
Ability to assemble, flat ice & decorate cakes a plus.
Assist with weekly inventory and stocking of all bakery supplies & products. Possibly weekly or monthly shopping for specialty supplies.
Serv Safe Certified.
Understanding & ability to control labor & food costs.

Assistant Baker:
Will prep & portion dry ingredients & various other items for baker, prep paninis & breakfast wraps, side items, assist with basic baking.
Opportunity to advance to full baking position for motivated applicants.
Experience in commercial kitchen a plus.
Must be able to work quickly & efficiently once trained.
Possibly weekly shopping for specialty supplies.

All Positions:
Physical Requirements: Lifting/moving 50-60lb bags product, standing 8 hours.

Daytime hours, approx 20-40 hrs/week, (opportunity for more hours for motivated applicant) includes weekends, holidays, possibly some evenings. Mainly morning hours once trained.
